This is one of my favorite classes of the whole program! While I have some issues with the structure (exams are, in my and most others' opinions, too heavily weighted), the content is fascinating and well-taught. TAs are responsive and provide great examples (shout out Kristina) that augment or even surpass what's in the lectures. I would take the pre-requisites to this class seriously, but if you like math and want to have a whole new way of seeing the world, this is a fantastic class.

The course is HEAVILY theory based on set theory, convex/concave functions, memorization of theory principles, and no calculator/graphing tools available. If you are comfortable with your understanding of matrices to the highest level and can visualize complex functions then this class is for you.
